Ohio lost more jobs than any other state in the month of November, which was lead by the loss of 3,600 jobs in the construction sector including a wide range of skilled trades including carpenters. Construction jobs in Ohio are down a total of 5,200 jobs in 2013 but a large portion of that came in November. The state of Ohio seems to be the exception in the US though, not the rule, as total US jobs increased by 203,000 jobs including approximately 17,000 construction and carpentry jobs in November and an additional 11,000 jobs in October. The trend is certainly moving in the right direction going into the end of the year.
